WordPress Development
I build WordPress sites by hand. No page builders, no theme frameworks, no drag-and-drop shortcuts. Every template, every function, every line of CSS is written for your project specifically. The result is a site that loads fast, scores well, ranks well, and doesn't fall apart the first time someone needs to change something.
Custom Themes
Every site I build starts with a blank theme and the WordPress template hierarchy. No starter themes, no parent themes, no inherited bloat. Your site gets exactly what it needs and nothing it doesn't. Clean semantic HTML, conditional asset loading, self-hosted fonts, and a codebase that any competent developer can read and maintain.
I use ACF Pro for structured content so your team can update the site without calling me. Real fields with real labels, not a page builder grid with 47 nested columns. The admin experience matters as much as the front end.
WooCommerce
I've built WooCommerce stores managing thousands of products with custom search, filtered catalogs, local pickup notifications, and Google Merchant Center feeds. WooCommerce is powerful but it's heavy. Making it fast takes real engineering, not just installing a caching plugin and hoping for the best.
Migrations
Purchased themes stop getting updates. Page builders get slower with every release. The agency that built your site three years ago isn't returning your calls. I've rebuilt sites off Divi, Elementor, abandoned ThemeForest themes, and Squarespace. I'll migrate your content, handle your redirects, and make sure nothing breaks in search. The performance difference is usually dramatic.
Ongoing Support
I don't build sites and disappear. Most of my clients have been with me for years. I handle updates, security monitoring, performance audits, hosting, DNS, email configuration, and whatever else comes up. One person who knows your site inside and out, not a ticket queue.
Common Questions
Do I need a custom WordPress theme?
If your site matters to your business, yes. Page builders add layers of unnecessary code that slow your site down and make it fragile. A custom theme gives you exactly what you need, loads fast, and doesn't break when plugins update.
How long does a custom WordPress build take?
Most sites take 4-8 weeks depending on scope. Ecommerce is longer. I don't rush and I don't pad - you'll know the timeline before we start.
Can I update the site myself?
Yes. I build every site with ACF Pro so your content is in clearly labeled fields, not buried in a page builder grid. If you can fill out a form, you can update your site.
What happens after the site launches?
I stick around. Most of my clients have been with me for years on ongoing support. Updates, security, performance monitoring, hosting, DNS, whatever comes up. One person who knows your site, not a ticket queue.
Will you migrate my existing site?
Yes. I've rebuilt sites off Divi, Elementor, abandoned ThemeForest themes, Squarespace, and plenty of purchased themes that stopped getting updates. I handle the rebuild, content migration, redirects, and search engine continuity so nothing breaks.
